Filmmaking, unbound.

A director-led studio where human imagination meets advanced technology.
The studio

OneDay at a glance.

OneDay is a director-led studio working where craft, filmmaking and emerging technology meet. At our core we are storytellers  -  emotional truth leads and the technology serves the idea. London-based and represented by Arts & Sciences, we work with brands, studios and agencies as a creative partner: a fully integrated studio covering every aspect of hybrid and AI production. Recent work includes a six-spot global campaign for Booking.com and a proof of concept for a major Hollywood studio, and we made Luma AI's entry to the inaugural Cannes AI Craft Lion, with legendary creatives Jason Kreher, Hal Davis and Chuck McBride.

Our story

Our passion for filmmaking is why OneDay exists.

We grew up obsessing over a single frame, a piece of music against a cut, the way light falls on a face at the exact right moment. For a long time the stories we wanted to tell were too big for the budget, too cinematic for what the tools could deliver. Then the tools caught up with our imagination.

“AI is not scary. The need for an idea, for story, for experience to curate and guide, to make choices, that remains.”
Hal Curtis [Got Milk, Nike, Coca cola]

How we think about AI

Enhance.
Not replace.

AI is our most powerful production tool, the way colour grading, motion-control and VFX changed filmmaking before it. It speeds exploration, opens possibilities budgets couldn't reach, and carries the heavy lifting in post. The creative decisions, the eye, the taste, that stays human. It is unique and it is irreplaceable.

Process

Execution

Our approach

Three ways we work.

01
End-to-end AI creative development and production
Epic, abstract or conceptual worlds, generated end to end. We also develop original concepts and execute them in AI-first, pioneering formats. Director-reviewed, client-approved. The vision stays entirely human.
02
Hybrid production
Real performances on camera; AI builds the world around them. Large-scale, period or impossible locations, without the full-shoot budget.
03
Fully live action + AI enhancement
A traditional shoot, real locations, talent, cameras. AI only in post: extension, cleanup, atmosphere. Indistinguishable from conventional production.
OneDay
HYBRID PRODUCTION

Human magic meets craft at scale.

Booking.com came to Arts & Sciences with a question, not a brief, keep the human truth the brand is built on, and use AI as the creative unlock.

The challenge
AI elements that live beyond the shoot and re-version as the work travels, on a timeline real destination shoots could never meet.
Working with the Director
Director Fiona McGee led; we integrated from prep. Her first concern was the actors, protecting performance and likeness at every step.
From wary to convinced
She came in asking for safeguards, and left using AI to develop her ideas and see them realised.

ORIGINAL IP

World events,
reimagined as cinema.

Cinema has always interpreted the real world – shaping how audiences emotionally understand history.

In a global first for premium storytelling, this series collapses the distance between event and interpretation — immersing audiences in pivotal real-world moments as they unfold.

The Decisive Moment is a director-led anthology of cinematic short films. Each episode transforms a global event into a human-scale story – crafted through authored vision and emotional intensity.

These are not journalistic reconstructions, but cinematic interpretations — placing audiences inside tension, ambiguity and consequence as history takes shape.

Adrenaline Junkies for Luma

Impossible. Made anyway.

Set in a snow-covered mountain resort, the film follows a group of thrill-seekers caught in a relentless cycle of pursuit, impact, and repetition, each crash met with the irrational need to go again. Through an AI-native workflow, we brought Hal Curtis and Chuck McBride’s original vision to life.
Why AI?
Twofold. Adrenaline Junkies began as a Nike proposal from Hal Curtis and Chuck McBride, a concept they had always wanted to make but that was ultimately too ambitious for traditional production. This was part of Luma's Dream Brief Campaign, aimed at seasoned creatives. They saw our work and wanted to see how far we could push their new model in terms of performance, fidelity, and overall suspension of disbelief.  How close could we get to this to a live action shoot?  We'll let you be the judge.

We close the gap between idea and execution.

The first thing we do is sit down, one to one, and talk through your approach, and your comfort level with AI: what you feel should be AI, and what needs to stay live-action. We've been on the other side of this ourselves, so we know every director draws that line in a different place. We start from yours.

01
World building
We create the key images that bring a VFX-heavy or period vision to life.
02
Treatment
We come in at treatment with a view on where AI fits how you already think.
03
On set
Our AI supervisor stays on set, responding in real time to any change.

Consulting
At brief stage we tell you what is AI, hybrid or traditional, in writing, straight into budgeting.
Execution
We work with your team to execute the AI side inside your workflow.
Asset planning

Hard packages
Directors first, AI second, we see paths through that a normal quote misses.

Shaping the conversation.

Punk rock creativity
Samir on the BBC talks about the fear many artists feel around AI, and why he believes the technology should be seen differently.
Craft in the age of generation
Bouha speaks at Luma’s event about AI filmmaking as a director-led process, exploring how new tools can expand what is possible while keeping creative intent, craft, and human judgment at the centre of the work.
AI in journalism
Samir  debates the merits of AI and journalism at the Frontline Club with  Amil Khan  -  former Reuters correspondent and founder of disinformation-tracking startup Valent; TikTok journalism pioneer Sophia Galler-Smith, and The Washington Post's Paul Schemm, arguing AI is a tool in service of understanding current events, it's not a replacement for editorial judgment.

Approval stages

The AI advantage
Once in video it is a normal edit, but we can always generate a missing shot.

Real actors. Real performances.

Digital doubles
An actor's likeness, used only in scenes and ways they have approved.
Performance
Their actual take, carried into the scene, the breaths, the interruptions, all of it.
Transcreation
Not dubbing. The essence and intent of a performance, carried into another language.
Performance capture
We shoot the actor for real, then build the world around them. The human stays human.

The tools we use

The number one tool is our creativity.

Every project this year has been different. The tools change so fast, and the ask shifts brief to brief, that there is no fixed toolset. We start from the idea; the tech comes up to meet it as another layer, never the other way around. Whatever the idea calls for, we run on business or enterprise licences, with control of our data and a zero-training policy across every tool we use.

We have negotiated special terms with most of the biggest model providers -  including liability protection.

How we protect you.

Factual. Transparent. Audit-ready.
No third-party copyrighted inputs
Only our own storyboards, sketches and text descriptions, never copyrighted imagery, footage or audio.
Your data stays yours
Enterprise licences that explicitly exclude your material from model training.
Every output is human-reviewed
A derivative-content review before any client sees a single frame.
Full audit trail
A shot-provenance and prompt record for every approved shot.
Clear rights, assigned to you
Plain, standard terms that assign and licence the finished content to you, with every usage right spelled out up front.
Global liability coverage
Indemnity against infringement claims, from $1–5M and up, scaled to your needs.
